Your land holds more medicine than you might imagine. In these private plant identification walks, experienced herbalist Sara guides you through your own property, revealing the healing plants already growing around you and teaching you how to work with them in support of your well-being.
Whether you are a curious beginner or someone deepening an existing relationship with plants, this is an intimate, unhurried experience rooted in the landscape you call home.

Winter asks something different of the body — and the plants know it.
This seasonal guide from Sacred Tree Herbals is your herbal companion for the colder months, covering everything your body needs to stay strong, clear, and balanced from the first frost through the last. You will find immune support herbs like echinacea, elderberry, and astragalus alongside respiratory allies, digestive soothers, and mood-supporting plants for those short, gray days when energy runs low.
Three ready-to-brew tea blend recipes are included — an immune boost blend, a respiratory relief tea, and a calming winter blend — along with simple lifestyle tips for staying well all season long.
Winter is not something to survive. With the right plants beside you, it is something to settle into.
When a fever comes on — for you or someone you love — knowing which herbs to reach for and how to use them safely can make all the difference.
This guide from Sara Woods Kender, Clinical Herbalist, explores diaphoretics and pyretics — two categories of herbs that have been used for centuries to support the body's natural fever response, promote healthy sweating, and ease the discomfort of colds and flu. You will learn the difference between warming and cooling diaphoretics, how to prepare and use them effectively, and which herbs are safe during pregnancy and which to avoid entirely.
Practical, clinically informed, and written with both everyday wellness and maternal safety in mind — this is the kind of reference you will want within reach when you actually need it.
Your body knows how to heal. These plants help it do its job.
Stress is not a character flaw. It is a signal — and your body has been sending it for a reason.
This guide from Sacred Tree Herbals takes a whole-person approach to stress management, exploring the herbs, lifestyle practices, and daily habits that help your nervous system find its way back to calm. From ashwagandha and lemon balm to sleep hygiene, mindful movement, and the quiet power of boundaries — this is practical, plant-rooted support for the kind of stress most of us are carrying right now.
One important note included in this guide: if you are taking SSRIs or sleep medications, always discuss herbal support with your herbalist before beginning — some herbs interact with these medications and it is worth knowing before you start.
Your nervous system is not broken. It is overwhelmed. There is a difference — and there is a way through.
Every spring the sneezing starts. The itchy eyes. The congestion that makes you feel like you are living underwater. And every year you reach for the same medication and wonder if there is a better way.
There is.
This guide from Sacred Tree Herbals explores the herbs, foods, and lifestyle practices that naturally support your body's response to allergens and help reduce histamine reactions from the inside out. From stinging nettle and quercetin to the foods worth avoiding and the simple daily habits that make a real difference — this is practical, plant-based allergy support that works with your body rather than against it.
Nature made the pollen. It also made the medicine.
Menopause is not a problem to be solved. It is a transition to be supported.
This guide from Sacred Tree Herbals explores the herbal allies that have been used for centuries to ease the journey through menopause — from black cohosh and red clover to blue vervain, sage, and red raspberry leaf. Each herb is explained clearly, with practical guidance on how to use it and what to expect.
Beyond the plants, you will also find lifestyle and sleep support tips rooted in the understanding that this transition deserves to be met with knowledge, care, and a deep respect for what your body is doing.
You do not have to white-knuckle your way through this. Nature has been preparing for it longer than you have.

Every home apothecary starts somewhere — and this is a beautiful place to begin.
This guide from Sacred Tree Herbals introduces 15 essential herbs that form the foundation of natural home medicine making. From chamomile and lavender to plantain, mullein, and hawthorn, each herb profile covers its key uses, how to work with it, and the simplest ways to prepare it — as a tea, tincture, salve, or infused oil.
Whether you are just discovering the world of herbalism or building on what you already know, these 15 plants are the ones Sara reaches for again and again — and now you can too.
You have probably heard the word adaptogen — but do you know which one is right for you?
Adaptogens are a remarkable class of herbs and mushrooms that help the body adapt to stress, restore balance, and build resilience over time. But not all adaptogens work the same way, and choosing the wrong one for your pattern can mean missing out on real results.
This guide from Sacred Tree Herbals introduces eight of the most powerful adaptogens — ashwagandha, holy basil, rhodiola, schisandra, eleuthero, ginseng, maca, licorice, and reishi — along with their specific uses, who they are best suited for, and how to work with them effectively. It also includes six ready-to-use formulas: teas, tincture blends, a hormone support latte, a burnout recovery decoction, and more.
Real herbs. Real formulas. Rooted in clinical herbal wisdom.
Calcium gets all the attention — but strong bones are built on so much more than that.
This free guide from Sacred Tree Herbals walks you through the full picture of natural bone health, including the trace minerals most people never hear about, the foods and herbs that support bone density from the inside out, and the simple lifestyle practices that make a real difference over time.
Whether you are managing osteoporosis, supporting a loved one, or simply investing in your long-term strength and mobility — this is a practical, plant-rooted place to start.
Making your own herbal salve is one of the most satisfying things you can do with plants — and it is much simpler than you might think.
This beginner-friendly guide from Sacred Tree Herbals walks you through everything you need to make a basic beeswax salve at home, from ingredients and tools to step-by-step instructions, herbal variations, and troubleshooting tips. Whether you want a soothing calendula salve for dry skin, a plantain balm for bug bites, or a lavender blend for bedtime — this guide gives you the foundation to make them all.
Two ingredients. One guide. Endless possibilities.
Wellness does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it is a cup of tea steeped with intention. A two-minute pause in the middle of a busy day. A small swap in the pantry. A moment of gratitude for the plant that helped you feel better.
This free guide from Sacred Tree Herbals offers five simple, grounded daily practices to help you slow down, nourish your body, and build a more intentional relationship with your own wellbeing — one small habit at a time.
Wellness grows from simple daily practices repeated with care.
The earth is waking up — and so can you.

They are the season's first gift, rich in minerals, vitamins, and the cleansing properties your body has been waiting for all winter.
This free guide from Sacred Tree Herbals introduces five traditional spring tonics, how to forage them responsibly, and four simple recipes that bring the season's abundance straight to your table — including a dandelion and nettle soup, a garlic mustard pesto, and a chickweed and violet salad.

Bifidobacterium infantis, the most beneficial bacteria predominant in healthy infants. B. infantis is one of the most predominant bacteria found in the gut of healthy, full-term, breastfed infants. B. infantis was recently named the "champion colonizer of the infant gut" by researchers at U.C. Davis because of its unique ability to digest human breast milk oligosaccharides. In a 1980 German study, B. infantis was the predominant beneficial bacteria found in infants. Alarmingly, since that time, researchers have found a decline in the numbers of B. infantis found in infants, including breast-fed infants.
